  • Biography

    Ki Park, M.D., M.S., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Cardiology Division Dr. Park serves as Head of Structural Heart Interventions at Parkland and leads the development of a structural interventional program. 

    Dr. Park’s interventional skillset includes complex PCI and structural interventions. Her clinical and research interests are focused on women’s cardiovascular health; specifically, the association between pregnancy complications and long-term cardiac risk.

    Dr. Park earned her medical degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from the University of Florida, where she also completed her internal medicine residency, general cardiology fellowship, interventional cardiology fellowship, and cardiovascular cell therapy research network fellowship.

    Dr. Park previously served as an Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of Women’s Cardiovascular Health Services at the University of Florida. While there, she started the first dedicated Women’s Heart Health Clinic at the University of Florida with a focus on postpartum cardiovascular risk modification. She also served in the role of Interventional Cardiologist at Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida.

    In 2019, Dr. Park was named a semi-finalist for the Women as One Escalator Award and in 2020 was named the Stop Heart Disease Researcher of the Year by the Florida Heart Research Foundation.

    Dr. Park has published numerous manuscripts in the field of women's cardiovascular disease including research on microvascular dysfunction and adverse pregnancy outcomes; specifically, the association between pregnancy complications and long-term cardiac risk. She serves as an Editorial Board member of US Cardiology Review.

    Board Certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, Dr. Park joined the UT Southwestern faculty in June 2024.
