Biography Akram Sadeghi, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Vascular Interventional Radiology Division. Dr. Sadeghi attended college at California State University, Fullerton, where she pursued a Bachelor of Science in cell and molecular biology. After three years, she traveled to medical school at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies, where she was taught by professors from all around the world. She then spent the next few years of her training in New York and New Jersey, completing a general surgery internship and diagnostic radiology residency with early specialization in interventional radiology. Dr. Sadeghi completed her clinical training at UT Southwestern in vascular and interventional radiology, where she found like-minded physicians with the same drive, compassion, and determination to treat patients. She stays up to date by attending the Society of Interventional Radiology annual meeting yearly, educating residents and fellows, and giving lectures to the next generation of medical students.
