Biography Mahmoud Elsayed, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Hospital Medicine. Dr. Elsayed’s clinical interests include medical informatics, medical education, and point-of-care ultrasounds. He has delivered several presentations and published peer-reviewed articles related to his areas of expertise. Dr. Elsayed earned his medical degree at the University of Alabama Birmingham and completed internal medicine residency training at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022. He is currently a hospitalist at Parkland Health and Hospital System. Personal Note Dr. Elsayed’s interests outside of medicine include gardening, fishing, and swimming.
