  • Biography

    Justina Johnson, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, and a member of the Division of Hospital Medicine.

    Originally from Troy, Michigan, Dr. Johnson holds a bachelor's degree in microbiology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She has a master's degree in biomedical sciences from the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Ohio, where she then earned her medical degree. she completed internal medicine residency training at West Virginia University in Morgantown. She pursued advanced training through a fellowship in global health at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.

    Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Johnson joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022. She specializes in hospital medicine.

    Dr. Johnson's clinical interests include global health and medical student education. 

    Dr. Johnson is an active member of the American College of Physicians.
