Biography

Glenda Delgado Ramos, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Hematology and Oncology. She specializes in treating breast cancer and genitourinary cancer, as well as improving cancer care in special populations.

Originally from Ecuador, Dr. Delgado Ramos earned her medical degree with honors at the Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil. She completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee, and gained advanced training in hematology and oncology through a fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, where she served as Chief Fellow.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.

Dr. Delgado Ramos is a member of several professional associations, including the American Association for Cancer Research, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Society of Hematology.

Dr. Delgado Ramos' research interests are primarily focused on improving cancer care and outcomes of special patient populations, including those of lower socioeconomic status, racial/ethnic minorities, and the elderly. She has published a number of peer-reviewed articles, case studies, and abstracts in journals related to her areas of expertise.

Personal Note

Dr. Delgado Ramos is fluent in speaking Spanish and English. Her interests outside of medicine include spending time with her family, enjoying outdoor activities, traveling, and exploring new cuisines and cultures.
