Carolan, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She grew up in Albert Lea, Minnesota, and attended Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, where she graduated Summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. She earned her medical degree from University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. There, she was named to the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha, for her academic, research, and service accomplishments. She completed surgical training as a urology resident at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona, where she served as a chief resident in her final year of training. She then completed fellowship training in pediatric urology at UT Southwestern and Children’s Health in Dallas, Texas.
