He earned his medical degree and completed his diagnostic radiology residency in Istanbul, Turkiye. Following years of clinical practice as a general radiologist in Turkiye, he successfully completed a four-year Alternate Pathway training program in our department, which included fellowships in Body MRI, Musculoskeletal Imaging, Cardiothoracic Imaging, and Cardiovascular Imaging. Dr. Karatas joined the faculty in July 2026.
