Biography
Margaret “Maggie” Nagel, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in pediatric solid tumors, especially soft tissue sarcomas.
Dr. Nagel earned her medical degree at the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois. She completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and gained advanced training in pediatric hematology and oncology and pediatric solid tumors through fellowships at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. She also holds master’s degrees in biomedical sciences and health care administration and management from Rosalind Franklin University.
Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.
Dr. Nagel is a member of the Children’s Oncology Group, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Society of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. She has delivered numerous presentations and published several academic articles related to her areas of expertise.
Dr. Nagel is passionate about providing care to children and young adults.
