  • Biography

    Daniel Yang, M.D., Assistant Professor, is a radiation oncologist at UT Southwestern Medical Center focused on genitourinary cancer.

    After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Yang earned his medical degree from Yale School of Medicine. He was a Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) Research Fellow at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School and a Leadership Innovation Fellow at Yale Center for Biomedical Innovation and Technology. Dr. Yang completed his residency in radiation oncology at Yale New Haven Hospital and served as chief resident during his training.

    During his residency, his research focused on machine learning applications to advance clinical oncology data quality, for which he received an ASCO Young Investigator Award. His research interests also include clinical informatics and using real-world data to improve cancer patient care.
