  • Biography

    Amanda Clark, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Her research focuses on how maternal and fetal metabolism affects fetal kidney development.

    Dr. Clark earned her medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. She completed a residency in pediatrics at the Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt University and received advanced training through a pediatric nephrology fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital and Children’s Medical Center Dallas. Dr. Clark was also a postdoctoral researcher in the Samir Parikh Lab at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard University and UT Southwestern.

    She joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.

    Dr. Clark has served as Principal Investigator on research projects funded by the National Institutes of Health, the American Society of Nephrology, and the Pediatric Physician Scientist Development Program. She has delivered international and national invited lectures and published peer-reviewed academic articles related to her areas of expertise.

    Dr. Clark is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology, and the International Society of Nephrology.
