Biography Bethany Roehm, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Nephrology. She specializes in general nephrology, heart failure in kidney disease, and hypertension. Originally from Beaumont, Texas, Dr. Roehm holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. She earned her medical degree at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, and completed internal medicine residency training at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts, where she also received advanced training through a nephrology fellowship, as well as a master’s degree in clinical and translational research. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2021. Dr. Roehm is the author of several articles, reviews, and presentations, and she contributed to the book Handbook of Critical Care Nephrology. She is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Nephrology, and the American Heart Association.
