Biography Zieanna Chang, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of General Internal Medicine. Originally from Florida, Dr. Chang holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. She earned her medical degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and completed internal medicine residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She then completed advanced training through a fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine, Dr. Chang joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2021. Dr. Chang is a member of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Her research interests include palliative medicine, medical disparities, and physician-family conflict. Outside of medicine, Dr. Chang enjoys cooking, playing strategic board games, and listening to podcasts.
