Dr. Dixon earned her medical degree at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where she was a member of the inaugural class in the Population-Based Urban and Rural Community Health (PURCH) Program. She completed both her residency training in Family Medicine and fellowship in Community Medicine at UT Southwestern. Her research interests include the impact of social determinants of health on chronic disease, specifically food insecurity, and the use of quality improvement strategies to help health systems better address the needs of disadvantaged populations.
