  • Biography

I am the director of the BioMedical Imaging Research Lab (BiMIR) affiliated with the Advanced Imaging Research Center (AIRC) at UTSW. Our research is focused on novel advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) development and applications in neurological disorders and neurodegeneration. Our topics cover in vivo imaging of brain iron, myelin, glymphatic function, cerebrovascular function and hemodynamics. These have led to fruitful applications in diseases including multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, traumatic brain injury, schizophrenia, etc.
