  • Biography

    Praveen Jaiswal, Ph.D., is an Assistant Instructor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern University and a member of its Division of Hematology and Oncology.

    Dr. Jaiswal holds a master's degree in biotechnology from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University in Lucknow, India and earned his doctoral degree at King George's Medical University. He received postdoctoral fellowship training in urology at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences. Her completed additional postdoctoral fellowship training at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport and in New Orleans.

    Dr. Jaiswal joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.

    Dr. Jaiswal is active in several professional societies, including the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Society for Basic Urologic Research, the American Association for Cancer Research, the European Association for Cancer Research, the Cancer Epigenetics Society, the American Urological Association, USA, and the Southeastern Section of the American Urological Association, Inc.

    Dr. Jaiswal's research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed academic journals, and he has served as an ad-hoc reviewer for several journals, including Journal of Histotechnology, Journal of Cellular Physiology, Journal of Cellular Biochemistry, Molecular Biology Reports, Gene, Oncotarget, BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies, BioMed Central Cancer (BMC Cancer), and Cancer Cell International. He has also contributed to book chapters.

    Dr. Jaiswal has presented his findings at scientific conferences around the world.
