Biography Dr. Kanjwal is a Kashmiri-American from Ohio and received her initial medical training at the University of Toledo College of Medicine. She recently completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital, with a distinction in Global Health and Equity. At Yale, she served as the lead coordinator for the adult refugee clinic. She joins the UT Southwestern community as an oncology hospitalist. Her areas of academic interest include breast oncology, health disparities, and healthcare development in conflict areas. Outside of medicine, she enjoys cycling, hiking, and traveling with her husband.
