Biography

Krishan S. Patel, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Hospital Medicine.

Originally from Metuchen, New Jersey, Dr. Patel holds a bachelor's degree in cell biology and neuroscience from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, where he graduated summa cum laude. He earned his medical degree at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and completed his internal medicine residency training at UT Southwestern.

He joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.

Dr. Patel’s clinical interests include gastroenterology, and he is passionate about medical education and working with residents at UT Southwestern.

He has delivered numerous presentations, several of which have won awards, and has published a number of peer-reviewed articles.

Personal Note

When he's not at work, Dr. Patel enjoys playing squash and soccer, scuba diving, playing electric guitar, and traveling.
