  • Biography

    Hans-Christian Reinecker, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases. He has a secondary appointment in the Center for the Genetics of Host Defense and a tertiary appointment in the Department of Immunology.

    Dr. Reinecker earned his medical degree at Christian Albrecht's University in Kiel, Germany. He completed internal medicine residency training at Altonaer Children's Hospital in Hamburg, Germany, followed by an advanced fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Hamburg. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and a second postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School.

    Dr. Reinecker joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2020 after working at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital since 1995.
