Biography

Avra Miriam Louis, D.D.S., earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the New York University College of Dentistry, graduating in the top 1% of her class. After practicing general dentistry in New York, Connecticut, and elsewhere for many years, she relocated to Dallas and joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2020.

Her practice is focused on providing comforting and compassionate care to patients of all ages, while maintaining the highest standards of dental care through continuing education and a lifelong commitment to excellence.

Dr. Louis has been a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association. She has delivered several lectures and presentations related to the clinical practice of general and hospital-based dentistry, and she is involved in a highly specialized effort to provide a treatment for severe oral mucositis in cancer patients.

She is also a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
