Liisa Bergmann, M.D., M.B.A., is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Cardiothoracic Imaging Division.

Dr. Bergmann received a bachelor's degree with honors in interdisciplinary social sciences from Michigan State University in East Lansing. She then obtained a medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at University of California Los Angeles before receiving residency training in general surgery at the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawai'i in Honolulu. She received radiology residency training at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Southfield, Michigan, and advanced training through a fellowship program in magnetic resonance imaging at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where she simultaneously received a master's degree in business administration.

Dr. Bergmann is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, American College of Radiology, Radiological Sociaty of North America, Society of Interventional radiology, International College of Surgeons, North American Society for Cardiovascular Imaging, International Society for Medical Resonance in Medicine, and the Society for Advanced Body Imaging.
