  • Biography

    Magdalena Espinoza, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in general gastroenterology and hepatology. 

    Dr. Espinoza holds bachelor's degrees in biology and French from Arizona State University in Tempe, where she graduated summa cum laude. earned her medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and then returned to Arizona for fellowship training in gastroenterology and hepatology at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix. 

    Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Espinoza joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2019.

    She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy
