Amy Proskovec, Ph.D.

Amy Proskovec, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Radiology and the Advanced Imaging Research Center (AIRC) at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and a member of its Radiology Research Division.

Dr. Proskovec received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, graduating with high distinction. She then obtained master's and a doctoral degrees in psychology, both with a concentration in neuroscience and behavior, from the University of Nebraska – Omaha.

Prior to joining the faculty in 2021, Dr. Proskovec served as a postdoctoral senior research associate in the Magnetoencephalography Center of Excellence at UT Southwestern, under the supervision of Joseph Maldjian, MD, and Elizabeth Davenport, Ph.D.

Dr. Proskovec's research interests include magnetoencephalography, functional magnetic resonance imaging, and the effects of aging on the human brain.

She serves as an ad hoc reviewer for a number of peer-reviewed publications, including Cerebral Cortex, NeuroImage, Brain Connectivity, Scientific Reports, Biological Psychology, the Journal of Neuroscience, Journal of Physiology, and the Journal of Neurophysiology.

Dr. Proskovec is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the Cognitive Neuroscience Society, Organization for Human Brain Mapping, and the Association for Behavior Analysis International.
