Biography Adrian Lawrence, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Born in the Philippines, Dr. Lawrence holds a bachelor's degree in zoology from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He earned his medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. Dr. Lawrence completed internal medicine residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, followed by fellowships in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of California San Francisco and heart and heart-lung transplantation at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in pulmonary and critical care medicine, Dr. Lawrence joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2019. At UT Southwestern, Dr. Lawrence is on the Lung Selection Committee, and the Faculty Collaborative on Racial Equality and Diversity for Clinicians, Scientists and Educators. Dr. Lawrence is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society, the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation, and the American Society of Transplantation. Dr. Lawrence's research interests include lung transplantation, bronchoscopy, and combined lung-liver transplantation. He has been invited to lecture both nationally and internationally.
