  • Biography

    Shuyao "Susan" Zhang, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Endocrinology.

    Dr. Zhang holds a bachelor's degree in statistics and microbiology from the University of Florida in Gainesville, where she also earned her medical degree. She completed internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship training at UT Southwestern, where she served as Chief Fellow.

    Dual board certified in Internal Medicine and in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.

    Dr. Zhang is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Obesity Society, Endocrine Society, and American Association of Clinical Endocrinology.
