  • Biography

    Jianyi Yin, M.D., Ph.D., is an Instructor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases. His clinical interests include treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

    Originally from China, Dr. Yin received his medical and doctoral degrees from Nanjing University, followed by research fellowship training at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship training at UT Southwestern through the Physician Scientist Training Program.

    Dr. Yin joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2025.

    Dr. Yin is a physician-scientist with research interests in basic and translational studies of IBD. His research aims to advance the understanding of IBD mechanisms and explore relevant clinical implications to improve patient outcomes. He has authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his work at various national conferences.

    Dr. Yin is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Physician Scientists Association, and American Physiological Society.

    Personal Note

    Outside of medicine, Dr. Yin enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
