Biography Trent Bawcum, M.D., is an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Pediatric Radiology division. His clinical interests include pediatric musculoskeletal imaging/procedures, ultrasound and emergency radiology. Originally from Rowlett, Texas, Dr. Bawcum received his undergraduate degree in Business Management from Texas Tech University and obtained his medical degree from the University of Texas, Long School of Medicine in San Antonio. He then received radiology residency training at UT Southwestern and advanced training through a fellowship program at Children’s Medical Center Dallas. Dr. Bawcum focuses his research on pediatric musculoskeletal radiology, pediatric oncology, and medical education. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Society of Pediatric Radiology, the Association of University Radiologists, and the Radiological Society of North America. During his spare time, Dr. Bawcum enjoys spending time with family, biking and running outdoors, weightlifting, and traveling to MLB ballparks.
