  • Biography

Dominic Moon, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology.

Dr. Moon earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School. While in medical school he also spent a year conducting clinical and translational research at the National Institutes of Health through the Medical Research Scholars Program. He completed his radiation oncology residency training at the University of North Carolina Hospitals.

Dr. Moon’s research interests include investigating radiation techniques such as hypofractionation and adaptive therapy to reduce treatment time, burden, and toxicity. He leads and participates in clinical trials assessing the utility of real-time adaptive radiation therapy in improving patient-reported quality of life in head and neck cancers on the Ethos adaptive treatment platform.

He is a member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), and American College of Radiology (ACR). He has authored research articles in numerous medical journals, including JAMA Oncology, International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics (IJROBP) and Radiotherapy and Oncology.
