Biography

Venuprasad Poojary, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Immunology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases.

Originally from Mangalore, India, Dr. Poojary holds a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and a master's degree in bioscience from Mangalore University. He earned his doctoral degree in immunology at the National Center for Cell Science in Kolkata, India. He was a postdoctoral fellow in immunology and cell signaling at the La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology in San Diego, California.

Dr. Poojary joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2019.

Dr. Poojary is a member of the American Association of Immunologists, the American Association for Cancer Research, the American Society of Cell Biology, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
