    Jeffrey M. Kenkel, M.D., FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon located in Dallas, Texas. He is the holder of the Betty and Warren Woodward Chair in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is Professor and Chair of the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is the Director of the Clinical Center for Cosmetic Laser Treatment. His clinical practice is located at the Outpatient Building on the UT Southwestern Medical Center main campus in Dallas and at the UT Southwestern Frisco Plastic Surgery Clinic.

    Dr. Kenkel is Editor of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, the highest impact factor journal in plastic surgery. He is Past-President of the Aesthetic Society (TAS), the leading professional organization of plastic surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and specialize in cosmetic plastic surgery. In addition, he is Past-President of the Dallas Society of Plastic Surgery is past director of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He remains actively involved in the education of plastic surgeons around the country, speaking about nonsurgical and surgical options for facial rejuvenation. He has authored more than 225 peer-reviewed publications and numerous book chapters. His research focuses primarily on laser and light-based devices and their tissue interaction as well as body contouring safety. He is part of a group who has developed and is using a noninvasive imaging center to help assess the aging process and the effect of devices on aging. 

    He has authored over 225 scientific articles and textbook chapters on laser treatments, facial surgery, and body contouring surgery.

    He performs a wide array of both surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures.

    Dr. Kenkel was born and raised in the Washington, D.C., area before moving to Dallas 30 years ago. He and his wife Kimberly enjoy traveling and spending time with their mini-schnauzer, Elvis. His outside interests include wakesurfing, hockey, Peloton, and music. Dr. Kenkel has been a Team Physician for the Dallas Stars since 1996.
