Biography Jeffrey Tessier, M.D., is a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine. Originally from Syracuse, New York, Dr. Tessier holds a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He earned his medical degree at the State University of New York in Buffalo. He completed internal medicine residency training at Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia, where he was Chief of Residents. He then completed advanced training through a fellowship in infectious diseases at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in infectious diseases, Dr. Tessier joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2018. At UT Southwestern, Dr. Tessier is the Service Chief of Infectious Diseases at Clements University Hospital.
