Biography
Moheb Boktor, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and a member of the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases.
Originally from Egypt, Dr. Boktor received his medical training at Ain Shams University in Cairo. He completed internal medicine residency training and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, where served as Chief Fellow.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in gastroenterology, Dr. Boktor joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2019.
Dr. Boktor's research interests include Crohn's disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and pancreatitis.
Dr. Boktor is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American Gastroenterology Association, Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America, Association of Bariatric Endoscopy, Texas Medical Association, and Dallas County Medical Society. In 2017, he became a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Boktor serves on the International Relations Committee of the American College of Gastroenterology and is active in volunteer medical mission activities.
