June Hu, M.D.

June Hu, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She is both the Medical Director of the FETAL Center and Associate Medical Director of the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Children’s Medical Center Dallas.

Dr. Hu has served as an attending physician at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, Children’s Medical Center Dallas, Parkland Memorial Hospital, and William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital. Throughout her career, she has contributed to peer-reviewed academic publications on neonatal medicine and clinical guidelines related to neonatal care. Dr. Hu has presented at national conferences and continues to develop educational activities for medical students, fellows, and healthcare providers. She joined the faculty in 2019.

Dr. Hu earned dual undergraduate degrees, in biochemistry and cell biology and English literature, from Rice University, in Houston, Texas. She earned her medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and completed her residency and fellowship training in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine at Washington University and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. During her fellowship, she was awarded the Stanley Phillips Award for best poster presentation by the Midwest Society for Pediatric Research.

She is actively involved in multiple hospital committees, national and regional consortiums, and professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Hu engages in education and community outreach to promote neonatal and fetal medicine services across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
