Biography Natalie Bavli, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Hematology and Oncology. She specializes in classical hematology with a particular focus on bleeding and clotting disorders, women’s health, and red blood cell and platelet disorders. Dr. Bavli earned her medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital in Boston, where she was selected for the Clinician Educator Track and was recognized for her compassion by being inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She then completed advanced fellowship training in hematology at UT Southwestern. Dr. Bavli joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2021. Dr. Bavli is passionate about medical education and has received numerous teaching awards and was selected for the American Society of Hematology Medical Educators Institute. She is a Course Director for both the first-year medical student course, Hematopoietic System, and the fourth-year medical student elective course, Hematology Frontiers in Medicine. She is also on the Board of Advisors for The Blood Project. Personal Note Outside of work, Dr. Bavli enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids. She can also be found hiking, traveling, and playing volleyball and tennis.
