Biography Joshua Immergluck, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases. His clinical and research interests include cirrhosis, palliative care in end stage liver disease, and alcohol related liver disease. He aims to bring his expertise and dedication to enhance patient outcomes and foster the education of trainees at all levels. Originally from Miami, Florida, Dr. Immergluck holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences from the University of Florida. He earned his medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine through the Medical Honors Program. He completed internal medicine residency training at UT Southwestern, where he also received advanced training through a fellowship in gastroenterology, where he served as Chief Gastroenterology Fellow in his final year. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Immergluck joined the UT Southwestern Faculty in 2024. Dr. Immergluck is active in several professional societies, including the Texas Society for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. His research results have been published in peer-reviewed journals and he has presented his findings at conferences around the world. Dr. Immergluck's interests outside of medicine include cooking, traveling, spending time with his family and golden retriever.
