Biography Gaytri Patel, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in treating allergies and disorders of the immune system. Dr. Patel is an active contributor to research articles, including peer-reviewed publications on allergy, immunology, and pediatric care. She also contributed to book chapters focused on the management of an allergy to cow’s milk. Dr. Patel joined the faculty in 2025. She earned her medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, in St. Louis, Missouri. She also attained a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Saint Louis University. She completed her residency in pediatrics and gained advanced training through a fellowship in allergy & immunology at UT Southwestern. During her matriculation, she earned a UTSW Clinical Excellence in Pediatric Emergency Medicine award. Dr. Patel actively participates in community outreach, and she has organized educational activities for health fairs. She is also a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the Texas Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Society.
