  • Biography

    Whitney Salinas, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Allergy and Immunology. She specializes in the treatment of hives, hay fever, food allergies, and oral allergy syndrome.

    Dr. Salinas holds a bachelor's degree in biological sciences from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where she graduated cum laude. She earned her medical degree at Texas A&M Health Science Center in Temple and completed internal medicine residency training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She then recevied fellowship training in allergy and immunology at UT Southwestern.

    Prior to joining the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024, Dr. Salinas worked in private practice. She is dual board certified in Internal Medicine and in Allergy and Immunology.

    Dr. Salinas is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; and the Texas Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Society. 

    Personal Note

    Outside of medicine, Dr. Salinas enjoys traveling, long-distance running, cake decorating, baking, and playing with her dogs and her daughter.
