Biography

Dr. Mahavesh completed her medical school training from NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijaywada, India. She went on to pursue postdoctoral training in Internal Medicine at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center Affiliate of SUNY UPSTATE, Johnson City New York. During her training she also held academic appointment at Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY as a Clinical Assistant Instructor. During her training she also was part of the VTE Committee working with quality improvement projects, case reviews, audits and necessary interventions. After graduation she has worked as a Hospitalist and a Nocturnist in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She brings to UTSW strong background in Internal Medicine, Quality Improvement and Patient safety, along with years of experience working with underserved population. Her interests outside of medicine include spending time with family, hiking and travelling.
