Biography

Dr. McNeil is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine and Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. McNeil earned her medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. She went on to do a surgical internship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and a family practice residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School. She is board certified by the American Academy of Family Medicine. Dr. McNeil’s clinical interests include chronic pain management in patients with a history of addiction. She is involved in a research study at the Dallas VA Medical Center looking at various modalities to improve outcomes in patients with chronic pain. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Society of Addiction Medicine, and she is a board member for the non-profit organization Mother and Unborn Baby Care, which helps women and children in need.
