Biography Paul Lederer, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and a member of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He is the Director of the Medical ICU at the VA North Texas Heath Care System. Dr. Lederer received his undergraduate degree in mathematics at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and earned his medical degree at the University of Louisville. He completed internal medicine residency training at the University of Illinois College of Medicine-Chicago, where he also completed his advanced training through a fellowship in pulmonary diseases and critical care medicine. During his fellowship, he was Chief Fellow and Fellow of the Year. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in pulmonary medicine and critical care, Dr. Lederer joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2017. Dr. Lederer serves on the VA’s Critical Care and Code Review committees and is a member of the American Thoracic Society. Dr. Lederer was voted Attending of the Year in 2020 by the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
