For more information on the doctor and patient care, please visit the clinical profile. Biography Dr. Samantha Lopez Kroger is an assistant professor of dermatology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Her practice includes general dermatology, complex medical dermatology, inpatient dermatology, and surgical dermatology for excisions of benign and malignant skin lesions. She has a special interest in seeing patients with granulomatous mastitis, a rare inflammatory condition of the breast. Dr. Lopez Kroger received her bachelor of science degree from Baylor University and her MD degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society as well as the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed internship in internal medicine at Baylor University Medical Center and dermatology residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where she served as a chief resident at Parkland Hospital and the VA dermatology clinic. During her residency, she received the 2026 award for Star Clinician. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
