Dr. Betty Chung Grasty is a Faculty Associate and primary care physician at the UT Southwestern Clinical Center at Las Colinas. As a general internist, Dr. Grasty forges lasting relationships with her patients and works hard to help them maintain and improve their overall health.

Dr. Grasty was born in Canton, China and escaped communism with her family to Hong Kong in 1978 at age 12. Dr. Grasty immigrated to USA in 1984.

In 1988 Dr. Grasty received an Electrical Engineering degree from Florida Atlantic University. She then received her medical degree in 1998 from the University of Florida, College of Medicine and completed her residency in Internal medicine from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

After completing her residency, Dr. Grasty immediately began her career in providing direct patient care through her solo private practice which she successfully ran for 16 years before joining the faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center in August, 2017.

I believe strongly in close and long lasting physician/patient relationship.  One of the important roles of a primary care doctor is to take care the patient as a whole person and be the quarterback of the whole care team of specialists for the patients.”
