Dr. Alvarez Concejo is originally from Spain and pursued medical school in his hometown of Madrid. Before coming to the United States, he worked in Monterrey (Mexico), Santiago de Chile (Chile) and Alta Verapaz (Guatemala). He came to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center for residency attracted by the breadth of clinical exposure and the strong academic background. He is now completing a Chief Resident year. His is passionate about Medical Education, Point of Care Ultrasound and Clinical Reasoning. He will be pursuing a career in academic hospital medicine, with a focus on Graduate Medical Education.
