    Zohaib Iqbal, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He is faculty in the Department’s Division of Medical Physics & Engineering and the lead physicist for the Vision RT surface-guided radiation therapy system.

    Dr. Iqbal received his bachelor’s degree in physics from The College of New Jersey as well as his Ph.D. in biomedical physics from the University of California, Los Angeles. He followed this by completing his radiation oncology medical physics residency training at UT Southwestern. Following graduation, he joined the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Department of Radiation Oncology as an Assistant Professor. In 2022, he returned to UT Southwestern’s Department of Radiation Oncology as faculty.

    Dr. Iqbal has been a reviewer for numerous publications, including the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics and the Cureus Journal of Medical Science. He is also an active reviewer of the Journal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics. He is an active member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM).
