Biography
Leslie D. Rosenstein, Ph.D., ABPP is a clinical neuropsychologist in Parkland’s Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin in 1983 with high honors and special honors in Psychology. She went on to obtain her doctorate degree at UT in Differential Psychology in 1988 followed by a respecialization in Clinical Psychology with a major in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Arizona. She completed her internship at Austin State Hospital. She became Board Certified in Clinical Neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology in 1994. She has served on the faculty of various universities, including Texas A&M College of Medicine in the 1990’s and, now, UT Southwestern Medical Center in the Department of Psychiatry. She is currently the director of the internship rotation in Parkland’s Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic for the UT Southwestern psychology graduate program. She conducts neuropsychological evaluations of persons with known or suspected neurological disorders. She serves as a member of the Clinical Training Committee in the doctoral Clinical Psychology program, and she has served as Co-Chair of the Curriculum Committee.
Dr. Rosenstein’s clinical expertise is in the area of neuropsychological evaluation, with particular interest in the differential diagnosis of various memory disorders, ADHD, TBI, and other neurocognitive disorders. Dr. Rosenstein’s research interests are diverse, and include differential diagnosis, reliability and validity of assessment tools, the interplay of health and neuropsychological function, research design and analysis, cross-cultural neuropsychology, and professional issues.
