Indu Menon, M.D., earned her medical degree at Kasturba Medical College, part of Mangalore University in Karnataka, India, and completed her residency in internal medicine at St. Vincent Hospital and Health Care Center in Indianapolis.
She began her career in private practice in Franklin, Indiana, providing both inpatient and outpatient care. She was also on the staff of a long-term acute care center and several local extended-care facilities.
Over the next seven years, Dr. Menon further honed her medical skills working first at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Memphis and then as an Associate Professor of internal medicine at Indiana University and as a staff physician at the VA Medical Center in Indianapolis.
She then spent two years, providing care to indigent patients in Pune, a city in the western Indian state of Maharashtra, before returning to private practice in Columbus, Indiana, and to a staff physician appointment at the VA in Indianapolis.
In 2015, Dr. Menon relocated to Texas, working as an Associate Professor at the VA Medical Center in Dallas. In 2017, she joined UT Southwestern as a Faculty Associate and a practicing primary care physician at its Las Colinas Clinic.
Outside of work, Dr. Menon is an Indian classical dancer. She is passionate about dance and music and has trained in the art form for more than 15 years.
