Biography

Dr. Soe is an Associate Professor in the Division of Endocrinology at UT Southwestern Medical Center  and a staff endocrinologist at Dallas VA Medical Center . He obtained his medical degree at the Institute of Medicine (1), Yangon, Myanmar (Burma), and subsequently completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Endocrinology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn NY.

He was a core faculty member  at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, and then at the Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, OH before joining UT Southwestern Medical Center in September 2016. 

Dr.Soe was selected as the best teacher at SUNY Downstate and UTSW by trainees. He has been involved in clinical training and medical education locally and nationally at professional societies such as  American College of physicians, the Endocrine Society and  the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.  He serves on the different committees of these professional societies.  

Dr.Soe has been actively involved in  clinical trials related to  transgender care, testosterone, lipid and cardiovascular outcome studies.  

 Outside of medicine, Dr.Soe has interest in cooking, travelling and reading history books.
