Biography
Dr. Shelly Heidelbaugh brings to UTSW more than 20 years of practice in Primary Care of the adult patient. Originally from Texas, she attended Medical School and Residency in Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. Family commitments took her to Atlanta, GA and then to Southern California where she practiced for 18 years. She is delighted to be back in Texas where her clinical practice allows her to follow her passion of improving the overall health of each patient she meets. In addition to her Board Certification in Internal Medicine, she recently achieved Board Certification from the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Heidelbaugh’s interests outside of medicine include spending time with family and backpacking.
