Biography
Eddie Hyatt, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Vascular & Interventional Radiology Division.
Dr. Hyatt holds a bachelor's degree in radiologic science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of medicine, and completed radiology residency training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He then obtained advanced training through a fellowship program in vascular and interventional radiology at UT Southwestern.
Before joining the faculty in 2017, Dr. Hyatt worked as a radiologic technologist. He also served as a rifleman in the Marine Corps Reserve at Bessemer, Alabama, having achieved the rank of corporal.
His research interests, which include nephropleural fistulae, transcranial ultrasound, and hepatic artery aneurysms, have led him to co-author original research articles and present his findings at scientific conferences.
Dr. Hyatt is an active member of the American College of Radiology, Society of Interventional Radiology, Society of Pediatric Radiology, and Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound.
Personal note
Dr. Hyatt enjoys athletics, including running and football, and is an avid hunter.
