Bethany Lussier, M.D.

Bethany Lussier, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. She holds a secondary appointment in the Department of Neurology. She is currently the Director of the Neuromuscular Pulmonology and Home Ventilation Clinic at Parkland Health.

Originally from Norwich, Connecticut, Dr. Lussier holds a bachelor's degree in neuroscience and cell biology from Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey. She earned her medical degree at Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine in Piscataway and completed internal medicine residency training at Columbia University in Stamford, Connecticut. She then received advanced training through fellowships in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Boston Medical Center and in neurocritical care at UT Southwestern.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in pulmonary and critical care medicine, Dr. Lussier joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2016. She currently serves as Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit and the Neuromuscular Pulmonology and Home Ventilation Clinic at Parkland Health.

Dr. Lussier is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Texas Medical Association, the American Thoracic Society, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the Neurocritical Care Society.

Personal Note

Dr. Lussier spends her spare time with her family, traveling, rock climbing, and working towards her goal of running a 5K in all 50 states.
