Biography

Jennifer Grant, M.D., is the director of the surgery lecture series on trauma at UT Southwestern and the co-director of the medical student suturing clinic and medical student simulation training. She has won several awards for teaching, including the Outstanding Teaching Resident of the Year award at Chicago Medical School. She also received a Physician Star award from the Illinois Masonic Hospital in Chicago.

Dr. Grant began her career by earning a medical degree from the University of Louisville and performing a general surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Afterwards, she came to UT Southwestern and completed fellowship training in surgical critical care before becoming an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery in 2017.
